How does the Aston bioethanol fireplace work?

It couldn’t be simpler! Fill the burner with bioethanol and light it with a lighter.

 

With a 1-liter capacity, the fireplace gives you up to 4 hours of continuous flame, then goes out on its own once the fuel runs out.

Does the Aston fireplace produce odors, smoke, ash or toxic emissions?

No! The Aston fireplace runs on bioethanol, one of the cleanest-burning fuels available. Unlike wood or gas fireplaces, it produces no smoke, soot, ash or harmful toxins.

 

The only by-products are a small amount of water vapor and a tiny amount of CO₂, even less than a candle.

 

Bioethanol burns so cleanly that no flue, chimney or ventilation system is needed.

Does the fireplace actually give off heat?

Yes, it puts out real warmth, raising the temperature by up to 6°C (about 11°F) in a room of around 30 m² (320 sq ft).

Shipping & Warranty

How long does delivery take?

Our fireplaces ship within 24 hours of your order being confirmed. Delivery is handled by specialized carriers to make sure your fireplace arrives in perfect condition.

 

Once shipped, delivery takes 4 to 5 days on average.

Do you ship internationally?

Can I return my fireplace if I’m not happy with it?

Yes, you have 30 days from delivery to return your order in its original packaging. See our return policy for full details.

What warranty do your fireplaces come with?

Our fireplaces come with a 2-year warranty against any manufacturing defect. If anything goes wrong, just contact our customer service team.

Installation & Use

Do bioethanol fireplaces need any special installation?

Not at all! Our fireplaces are ready to use right out of the box, with no flue and no electrical hookup. Simply set it where you want it, fill the tank with bioethanol and carefully light the flame.

Where can I place a bioethanol fireplace?

Our fireplaces are designed to fit any interior: living room, bedroom, office… You can also use them in semi-open spaces, as long as you follow the safety guidelines.

How do I light a bioethanol fireplace safely?

  • Fill the tank with high-quality bioethanol.
  • Use a long-reach lighter or a long match to light the flame.
  • Never pour bioethanol onto a flame that’s already lit.
  • Give the flame a few minutes to reach its full size.

How do I put the fireplace out?

Our fireplaces come with a flame snuffer. To put out the flame:

  • Never blow on it.
  • Use the snuffer to cut off the flame’s oxygen supply.
  • Let the burner cool down before refilling it with bioethanol.

Safety & Maintenance

Are Aston fireplaces safe?

Yes, when used properly. Our fireplaces feature safety burners that ensure a steady, smoke-free burn. Always follow the instructions, and never refill the tank while the fireplace is lit or still hot.

How long does a full tank last?

It depends on the model and tank size, but on average, one liter of bioethanol burns for 3 to 5 hours.

Do bioethanol fireplaces smell?

Not when you use high-quality bioethanol. You may notice a faint scent when lighting or extinguishing the flame, but there’s no smoke or soot.

How do I maintain my bioethanol fireplace?

Maintenance is minimal: just wipe the burner and the outside with a soft cloth to keep it looking its best.
